I Dream of.... Shoes of Prey

Illustrated by Jacqueline Davis Moranti

I'm what I'd like to consider a connoisseur, aficionado, enthusiast, addict, lover.... of shoes! The right pair of heels can help a woman feel more confident and ready to take on the world. That is why when I was introduced to Shoes of Prey, I was immediately ecstatic! Shoes of Prey is designated for all the shoe lovers out there because you are the designer! SoP let's you choose the shape, color and height of the shoe with a 3D designer tool, integrated on the site. Who knew designing shoes could be so fun! There's also over 170 fabrics to choose from meaning you'll never see your shoes on anyone else ever again! It really is a ton of fun creating your perfect dream shoe! Here's a look at one of my drafts...

SoP recently had a fashion show, where the rainbow was the inspiration! It was the Shoes of Prey x Romance Was Born collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia. I absolutely love how fun this collection is, total lust worthy and appropriate for fun, summer soirees! Here are some pairs that i'm currently dreading of!

Sure, these shoes may not be for the faint of heart but that's the beauty of the site, you can take a shoe that is already created and alter it to your liking for true wearability! Shoes of Prey let's you create your confidence for that interview you've been so anxious about, that special date with that special person or even for that high school reunion you've been dreading.

I Dream of.... Onsies!

By Jacqueline Davis Moranti
We all know that with Spring, marks the beginning of music festival season and with that a lot of us music connoisseurs need fuss free, easy, but still fabulous outfits! I've been recently looking at tons of onsies lately, aka jumpsuits/ rompers and i'm so drawn to how simple it is.

Onsies are easy to wear, no need to worry about what pant or top will look great with it because it's both! The only thing you will ever need to pair with it is a pair of sky high heels and that statement necklace in your armoire. My onsie obsession started with the jumpsuit I tried on at Club Monaco a few weeks ago! It was comfortable and flattering and I knew I had to have it! I also recently styled a DVF (see image below) jumpsuit on a model recently for a Stardust Magazine shoot! Definitely a big trend for this upcoming summer season!

Check out some of my favorite onsies! Hopefully they will become you warm weather staple like it did for me!

I Dream of... Lulu Frost Jewelry

I Dream of Lulu Frost by Jacqueline Davis Moranti
I'm sure most of you have dreamt about owning that one piece of jewelry that would blow all of your other pieces to shame! The statement among statement necklaces, the one of kind bangle, the show-stopper earrings. I'm talking about Lulu Frost Jewelry! I discovered this jewelry line a few months ago while I was perusing the new merchandise at my local J. Crew store. Ahhh, what a beautiful discovery it was, I've been lusting over Lisa Salzer's [Jewelry designer] gorgeous work ever since! Lulu Frost has collaborated with J. Crew and the Loft. Miss Salzer truly knows her craft!

The entire collection is created by hand, so don't worry about having the same necklace as the next person because not one is truly the same! The inspiration is drawn from "classic" references, but that is an understatement to say the least, because they have a really unique and contemporary spin!

Here are some of the pieces i'm currently dreaming of!

Dear readers, what do you think of Lulu Frost jewelry? Are you craving a piece or two like I am?!

Golden Girl

Golden Girl by Jacqueline Davis-Moranti

Ever wonder what it feels like to be dripping in gold?! Me too, but fortunately thanks to Chanel and Balenciaga, from their F/W '12 collections, we can easily envision it! The lustrous, metallic trend is definitely worth a try! I know you're probably thinking, disco ball or Zenon Girl of the 21st Century, if paired right it looks amazing. I wear my metallics with neutrals, like our basic blacks, browns, and whites. Here's a few of my fabulous foiled pieces that I'm really digging right now.

Items from
J.Crew
Shoedazzle
Forever21
Steve Madden
Thrifted
Just think, gold top and black, coated jeans or brown leather jacket with bronze pants! The possibilities are endless and exciting for this seemingly "futuristic" trend!
