El Artiste

As I have mentioned in a previous post, I've been extremely busy lately. I have been focusing a lot of my time on producing new art work for art exhibits. Earlier this year I made a promise to myself to expose my art as much as I can for 2014, It's safe to say I have been keeping up with that promise!

The most recent exhibit I participated in was held in the James Oliver Gallery, in Philadelphia. This was for the annual Art Nude Philly show which benefits the cancer patients of the Abramson Center by donating a portion of the sales to the families of the patients. It felt really good to participate in something so special. Mingling with other artists and art connoisseurs is also a great part of exhibits because you get to hear another person's view point on your work. It's truly a learning experience.

I don't know about you, but I always feel awkward on camera, especially when I'm talking about myself! Here's an interview I did during the exhibit in September! Talking about my art especially makes me feel a bit timid because I am talking about something near and dear to me.

This upcoming weekend, I'll be participating in yet another exhibit. It will be held in one of Philadelphia's funkiest bars, Tattooed Mom. The theme of the show is "horror" which in my case makes for some interesting illustrations! If you happen to be in Philly this sunday evening, stop by and say hello!

  1. I am not one for wearing shiny clothing for fashion but this kind of reflective apparel is actually functional and looks rather comfortable. I would consider wearing Bjorn Borgs sportswear for night training. I guess i should fold up my blacked out Ninjutsu Gi and put it away in my closet... safety first.

  2. My best friends girl friend had her lip pierced at Tattooed Moms! I was there, it was pretty intense! I know just where this place is, it is between 5th and 6th on south street. I am off from work, so i will likely be stopping by to share with you the point of view your work reveals to me.
