Travelling While Natural

Illustrated by Jacqueline Davis Moranti

We should be so blessed to be able to get out there and explore other cultures and immerse ourselves in it. To travel and worry about your hair though, that's not enjoyable! Been there, done that. Whenever I've travelled in the past, I just kept my hair twists and updos and while that was cute back then, I yearn for something more "grown & sexy" (insert crying/ laughing emoji) for my new adventures! I'm trying to push myself away from protective styling as a habit and only concern myself with it on lazy days. I get too comfortable and leave my hair in a bun or twists for days! I'm planning some exciting trips ahead and I know I'm not bunning it! Here are a few tips for travelling while natural because hair should never get in the way of excitement!

Travel Plans

Illustrated by Jacqueline Davis Moranti

Vacations aren’t nearly learning experiences for most of us. No, they are opportunities to relieve tension, soak up the sun, and indulge. On a separate note, I can’t wait to plan for my next getaway! Phew, now that that is out of my system, let’s get back to the program! Vacations are supposed to be fun, but every now and then they are also opportunities to grow and develop. Maybe not in a human sense but from a lifestyle viewpoint. Now let me ask you this, have you never been on vacation from hell? One that just isn't enjoyable no matter what you do? If you haven’t, you’re one of the lucky ones. Everyone and I mean everyone, wants to avoid disasters, and by analyzing what was good and what was bad is the most straightforward method to plan for much more successful vacations.

Travelers Digest

Illustrated By Jacqueline Davis Moranti

Many Americans spend all year saving to go on a vacation, counting down the days until you can pack the suitcase and jet off to sunnier climates. For most of us, it’s a real high-point of the year where we can indulge, have fun and relax. Any chances to forget about work and disconnect, for most of us, especially myself, is quite a rare treat! So it makes sense that when you are away you would make the absolute most of your time at your destination. While sometimes it’s good to relax, don’t worry about making plans and take it as it comes- if you’re spending a lot of money on the trip you might prefer to cram in as much as possible. Here are some of the ways you can make the very best of your travel.

Beauty Bit, Rinse Out

Illustrated By Jacqueline Davis Moranti

It's no secret I love the summer time, it's the only time of the year in which going swimming is totally normal and acceptable. Swimming is one of my favorite exercises to do throughout this season, I'm no Michael Phelps but I can do a mean breaststroke. The best part about swimming is the fact that it doesn't cause soreness or major break breakdowns of muscles tendons. But alas, you must take the good with the bad and what I mean by that is the chlorine from pool water and the saltiness of the ocean in my hair!

Mad Dash Beauty

Illustrated by jacqueline Davis Moranti

It's no secret, I love to travel. Traveling is one of my absolute favorite past times, I never feel guilty with going over budget when it comes to traveling because it's something that soothes my soul and nourishes my mental health. I recently spent a few days away in the northern eastern states with family, long drives mean waning beauty regimes because of the short amount of times you have to get from point a to point b and passengers that just want to rush you! In my recent trip, I took note of all the products I used frequently to make sure I looked like a normal, sane person! I love indulging in different beauty treatments, it's like giving yourself a DIY spa experience, from the comfort of your own home. When I'm traveling, I try to do the same!

The Wanderlust

Illustrated by Jacqueline Davis Moranti

I  have to admit something to you, my dear readers, I have the travel bug, and have had it for years. Ever since I've stepped on my first plane at the ripe age of four years old, to Venezuela, I've been addicted. Traveling is like a drug, the more you do it, the more you want to keep doing it. I know more about foreign cities than I do my own and I've even given travel advice. I plan out trips and itinerary for future adventures and sleep with my passport! I'll share with you some of my wanderlust and travel destinations to possibly pass the addiction on to you!
