Born To Be Wild

It was an unlikely day in Philly recently, the weather was actually nice and cooler than it usually is during the summer. I took advantage of this day by wearing jeans! I know it doesn't seem like much but with high humidity and temperatures, jeans tend to feel like second skin which is why this day was an anamoly!  I usually stick to lighter fabrics like linen, polyester blends, cottons and sometimes silk. Rather than plain ol' jeans I took it a bit further!

To be completely honest, jeans bore me a bit. They're so straight forward when it comes to pairings, it just feels unimaginative. These jeans, by Jbrand are the total opposite by providing your stems with a subtle leopard print. The subtleness makes it less tacky and more fashion forward because when I think of leopard printed pants, my first thought is 1980s soccer mom!

Sometimes jeans and a tee shirt is all you need but adding a bit of pizazz can liven things up! Subtly is the name of the game, it adds a bit of mystery. During the summer, as the temperatures get higher, most people just don't want to fuss with clothes that's why simple outfits like jeans and a tee become uniform. I'm going to battle against that monotony by adding more interest to the so called uniform. Dear readers, I would love to know how you tend to dress for hot days. Do you develop a uniform?
