Love Run

Illustrated by Jacqueline Davis Moranti

It's almost that time of the year, where couple's come out of the wood works and start flaunting their love around. I have no problem with couples but I'm not a fan of major public displays of affection, sometimes I just want to yell, "Get a room!" Valentine's day is just a couple of  weeks away, and rather than being a third wheel with your bff and her date, why not strip down to your bedroom best and and run a mile with thousands of other people and raise money for cancer?

On February 15th, 2014, thousands and thousands of runners, across 27 cities will be withstanding the cold temperatures to run in their skivvies! Cupid's Undie Run was created with a major goal in mind, to raise money for Neurofibromatosis Research and the Children's Tumor Foundation. This small nonprofit that began four years ago, between three friends has now become one of the nation's must do  fundraisers. Last year, CUR raised $1.3 millions, it's really impressive to see how far people will go to support a cause!

This year, I'll be joining the cause, in Philadelphia and you should too! Your city may be sporting the cause too! There's still time to register and fundraise either as an individual or in a team. CUR symbolizes a "be bold" philosophy by making a statement in your undies to raise awareness for the Children's Tumor Foundation. Why not fight the good fight and try it out!? "Freezing never felt so good!"
