Structured Chic

Illustrated by Jacqueline Davis Moranti

When it comes to fashion, timeless style is of the essence. It's currently pre- fall season in the fashion world, the time in which brands debut what's to come for the autumn season and sometimes even showcase the heavier stuff for winter. The latest pre- fall collection that has me going gaga is the Ports 1961 Pre- Fall '16 assemblage. P61 is the embodiment of a minimalist's dream wardrobe, from the neutral palette to the clean lines and of course it's ability to easily layer with other pieces from the collection. Take a look at a few of my favorite looks from the Ports 1961 Pre- Fall 16 compilation!

When it comes to my style, I've recently been incorporating a tiny bit more color to my otherwise neutral wardrobe of navy, blacks and whites. I like that P61 injects a bit of color to a few of the pieces to transition from summer to fall. All of the navy pieces in this collection are my favorite, so much elegance and edge with layers that can be styled to everyday events and occasions. Another thing to consider when building a minimalist wardrobe, since you're working with little color, playing with shapes and volumes helps to add interest to any look, Ports 1961 is a big advocate for this detail! Dear readers, how do you feel about Ports 1961 Pre Fall 16?
