It's natural for us to use products in our hair, from pomades to styling creams and zillions of oils. Bad hair days seem to disappear as soon as we layer on the gunk! I'll admit that I've succumbed to that, with natural hair, frizz is inevitable but the use of styling creams and oils help out a lot but it can build up on my scalp and wreak havoc if i'm not careful. I've recently been using the two step system, Purifying clay collection, a balancing Pre- Shampoo Mask and the Balancing Shampoo. I've used pre shampoos (or pre-poos) before, but never any product that was like this one, you apply it with an applicator brush onto your roots and leave it on for 10 minutes before you rinse it out. You can sort of feel it working it's magic and detoxifying your scalp as you wait! It contains mineral clay to target your oil production and regulate it, eliminate toxins and serve as an antiseptic. Never has it felt so good to "mask" your hair! As soon as you finish rinsing your hair, the balancing shampoo is next. I rub a dollop sized portion onto my scalp only and massage in. No need to pile your hair on top of your head or rub it onto the length of your hair because as soon as you rinse it out, it will work it's way down to the rest of your hair.
