Beauty Bit, One Ingredient Wonders

Drafted by Jacqueline Davis Moranti

Our beauty industry is loaded with tons of products that claim many and plenty results, but to really figure that out, you have to go through a lot of tests. Believe me, it's not as fun as it sounds.  I recently dabbled with some products that left my skin looking and feeling opposite of what the supposed outcome would be. I couldn't figure out why, until I read the ingredients list on the backs of the bottles. I found ingredients that I knew my skin would be allergic to and quite honestly, additives with ph levels to imbalance anyone with a good complexion. I have spent the past few months trying to switch about 75% of my skin care products to products with very little to list on the back of the packaging. The best thing about switching to natural products is that they're most likely hiding in your pantry.

Sponsored post, opinions all my own

I have been testing out oils in many ways for my skin, as a moisturizer and as a deep conditioner for my hair. Let me tell you, my skin loves oil! With trial and error, anyone can find the right amount to use for their daily needs. Lately I have been using Radha's oils, specifically the Pure Argan Oil and Fractioned Coconut Oil

I've been utilizing the Fractioned Coconut Oil in place of a traditional body moisturizer/ lotion. As the weather gets warmer, oils fare better on skin than lotion. Oils absorb into our skin better and provide powerful antiseptic properties. This multi purpose oil by Radha Beauty is 100% pure and natural, with a long shelf life. I have been applying this oil to my body, face, hair and even my cuticles, it works wonders! Coconut oil is the perfect moisturizer for any type of skin and because this one is fractioned, anyone with coconut allergies need not be afraid of this!

When my hair starts to feel extra frizzy, which is quite often now that the humidity is rising, I reach for Radha's Argan Oil. Argan oil is known for its extremely revitalizing and hydrating properties. It makes for a fantastic hair treatment, in which I use the oil heated up, do this once a week and you'll forget you even had split ends. Radha's Argan Oil is 100% pure and certified organic, no need to worry about it messing with your complexion.

So far my quest for natural beauty products has been going great, next on the list to try out is castor oil and honey! With natural products there's usually no need to worry about odd reactions. I had the worst reaction to a product a couple of months back and i'm ready to make a change for my skin and my health. Dear readers, I'd love to hear about what natural products you've been using. Care to share any simple tricks?
