Virtual Stylist At Your Fingertips

Illustrated by Jacqueline Davis Moranti

We' re just a day away from celebrating the end of 2013. Ringing in the new year with major style is definitely on the top of the list, but what if you still haven't found that perfect dress or ensemble yet? Many fashion mavens put together their New Years Eve outfits way ahead of time, a few of my friends even find their looks at the beginning of the next year! Fortunately I stumbled upon a fantastic site recently, called Live The Look in which a style
search engine" helps you pick out the perfect ensembles based on pieces that acknowledge your closet! I can't wait to tell you about it!

Live The Look is all about exemplifying your unique style by helping you find new things to compliment it with. It's a shopping experience with personalized suggestions based on the 2 question survey. It asks what's in your closet, ie denim jeans, trousers, blazers, pumps, t shirts, etc and what style best describes you, ie bohemian, classic, casual, preppy, etc. Then after signing up it introduces you to your virtual closet in which there are pieces that would tie in well with your existing wardrobe. My closet had bohemian and ladylike pieces all strewn about, which defines my personal style to a T!

There were so many gorgeous pieces to choose from! From the perfect party pants to fantastic statement jewelry. My eyes fell in love with a fabulous dress by Jessica Faulkner, it was an olive green beauty! I'm not one to wear low cut dresses, but it was too good to pass up and I figured it's also time to try new things! The Hannah dress reminds me of Diane Von Furstenburg's popular wrap dresses but in a much more young and modern style. This dress is the definition of a free- spirited and feminine lady, the perfect mash up for me.  I love the slightly bell- shaped sleeves and the choice of fabric, lyocell, is top notch! This dress is definitely my New Years Eve dress!

Upon receiving the dress, I was extremely excited, especially because it came wrapped as a beautiful little gift. I also love that it came with look books of the designer, Jessica Faulkner, it really gave me an insight on the brand's style and initiative. It's definitely a brand to watch out for and one worth obsessing over!
To sum it up, Live The Look is definitely worth checking out, it's easy and free to sign up plus who doesn't like having a virtual stylist at their fingertips?! It was a lot of fun and I am looking forward to all the styling possibilities with my new dress! Dear readers, I dare you to try Live the Look and tell me about your experiences with it!
