|No Doubt About It by Jacqueline Davis Moranti|
Growing up in the 90's, my musical taste was just developing. One of the bands that seemed to stick with me, even now, was No Doubt. I was well before my teenage years during that decade, but the essence of the teen angst, the grunge and the poppy attitude from the songstress just captivated me enough to feel like I understood what was going on within the lyrics. What was even more thrilling to me was the fashion represented by the vocalist of the band, Gwen Stefani.
Miss Stefani, throughout early No Doubt career, sewed her own stage wear. Her choices were bold and unpredictable, from plaid pants to Chola inspired midriff tops. Even her hair spoke volumes, as much as her music did! Gwen loved to surprise her fans and definitely inspired some to dress similarly (myself included!). She's all about being herself and remaining true to her fashion sense, with or without a stylst. In 2004, Stefani finally released her own fashion line, L.A.M.B, evermore displaying her unique taste of fashion. L.A.M.B is one step closer to feeling like you're a cultural rock star! Not to mention that the characters and illustrations for her Harajuku Lovers line are so appealing!

Gwen Stefani's style has evolved over the years, as much as her music has, but she's been able to keep it true to her instinct which is why she's one of my favorite fashion icons! You can't put her in a box and label her style one word. She's a fashion chameleon in great taste!
Dear readers, how do you feel about Gwen Stefani's style?
